Been busy recently! I'll tell you only three things, since everything else was same old, same old:
First, my mom and I went to Ottawa for a small vacation to say hi to my aunt. It was fun! I got to ride around in a car, go to all sorts of cool places, have junk for dinner. It was great!
Next, my science class and almost everyone from my grade went to the Ontario Science Center last week. It was so much fun, and I got to see cool things that I never saw as a kid. I had a bad throat on that day, though. I noticed that I had a small cold coming, so I decided to stay home for the next few days because of my cold. I'm home today, too. I have to go tommorrow, though. Been missing a lot.
Finally, this weekend was the my mom's birthday AND the My Little Pony royal wedding. It should've been a good weekend for my mom, but it wasn't. She had a lot of work to do, people wanted to tell her things day in, day out... it was ridiculous.
I'm sorry for not logging on, et cetera... but it was worth the wait.

I've been at my gransma'ds recently. Yes, instead of doing school work (like a good girl), I've decided to take some time off with my dear grandma.
Well, let me tell you about it.
Remember when Grandma's dog died? Well, mom was surfing an animal shelter website and found a dog named Bentley. He was originally a stray dog with poofy fur. Mom knew right away that he was the dog for grandma, so she called grandma and told her all about Bentley. Grandma agreed to take him, and she just got him two days ago. Grandma said that the first thing Bentley did was go straight to the water bowl. After some grooming, he was much better. I went over to spend some time with her yesterday. Let me tell you, Bentley loves everyone. He immediately latches onto everyone that meets him. He just falls in love with you.
For most of the day, I played Soul Silver. I managed to catch Lugia and beat the game. The Elite Four was actually VERY easy this time around. Maybe because of the fact my Pokemon are over-leveled, maybe because of the type advantages I had. But Lance. OH MY GOD LANCE. Why does every champion have to have SO MANY DRAGON TYPES.
Today I was trying to figure out how to get to Pallet Town. Apparently I can't go there yet. The nearest route to Pallet Town is through Cinnabar Island, but the road to the islands is blocked because of a volcanic eruption. And Cerulian City's route is blocked by a ledge that apparently my character can't jump over. It's one foot tall and the character's like, "Oh man, this ledge is crazy high, can't jump over that." Apparently my Skarmory and Pidgeot (nicknamed Braig and Medic respectively) help them fly over the ledges. That's crazy. But all Pokemon games have had that logic, so I can't complain too much.
I went to see Ethan (my adversary) in New Bark Town beforehand. Braig the Skarmory found a shiny leaf a month ago. Ethan said that people who have bonded with their Pokemon incredibly find the shiny leaves.
Guys.
Braig and I have bonded.
It's canon.
I have every right to be with Braig.
Dun dun dun.
So far I have about four of the eight Kanto gym leaders down. I'm also speechless at Lavender Town's new music. It's so peaceful, much different than the originals.
Welp, that was my adventure. Hope you guys have a great day.
And remember, it's April Fools, and God, if I loved April Fools, I would've pranked you guys. But I'm too nice for that.

Sorry for not posting often. Been busy lately and I just sort of forgot I had a Piczo blog in the middle of the week.
On that note, I have something to say!
Happy Hunger Games, and may the odds be ever in your favour!
Well, they were in mine. We've been reading the book in English class for a novel study, knowing its popularity. I have to say, I was not impressed with the book. It didn't strike me. I actually thought it was boring, mainly because all Katniss does is rant and rave and worry. (In fact, I took a Mary-Sue litmus test for both her and one of my characters, just to see how they measured up. My character wasn't a sue [-8 in the results], but Katniss was a very bad one [64 in the results]. I have some more to add to that sue test just to see if her results grow.)
I'm not going to lie, I was actually excited to see the movie. Two reasons backed me up: one; to get out of school, and two; to see how the movie measured up to the book. I grabbed some popcorn and a soda and I was ready to watch.
(Keep in mind that this is a whole grade that went to see the movie. That means a lot of fangirls.)
The movie starts and I feel slightly uneasy because of the chairs. But that didn't bother me much, because I was still excited. Then it goes on and everyone is intrugued. I swear the girls thought Gale was hotter than Peeta. I don't think much about guys, so I didn't care. But I do get into the spirit of the movie. I was practically moving in my seat as the movie went on.
Then some more stuff happens, and I'm overwhelmed by the costumes and setting of the movie. Well, not the arena, the forest, or the districts, but the Capitol had some of the best scenery and costumes in the movie. It's so interesting seeing something as elegant as their city and looks, knowing that the people in the Capitol are asses, and just being so astounded by everything. It's so different.
Then the battle begins. It starts off as "meh" for the most part, 13 tributes die, all that junk. Then Katniss does some things, like get burnt by a forest fire and being stung by tracker jackers (mutated wasps whose stings are dangerous). Then a tribute named Rue dies, and at that part I felt kind of sad. It never struck me in the book, but the movie had some sort of magic.
Katniss finds Peeta and they have a little love moment, kissing every five seconds, all that jazz. Then more tributes get killed and they have a final battle with a tribute named Cato. Then only one of them (Peeta or Katniss) can be the victor, so Katniss is about to let Peeta eat "nightlock" berries (highly poisonous berries), when suddenly they're stopped because their love is sooooo powerful. Then they get interviewed. Then I didn't know what happened next because I went to the bathroom before we went, but I'm pretty sure it was some sort of aftermath thing.
tl;dr: Katniss and Peeta participate in the 74th annual Hunger Games, fall in love, and win.
Overall, I liked it much better than the book. The book was so boring since it was in first-person perpective and all you read was "WHAT'S GOING TO HAPPEN WILL I DIE WILL PEETA DIE", but the movie went very well, even though it went a little too fast and the camera was wonky. In my opinion, the Hunger Games could've done as well as just a movie. That's the power of boring books, they can be turned into interesting things.

Hey guys.
Again, sorry I haven't been posting often enough. I've got my mind set on other things.
I had to stay home today. I was feeling cramped up and "not myself" lately. I stayed up all night reading books about birds and Moshi monsters due to the cramping. Not even the hot water bottle helped.
Today I was watching game playthroughs, and a song came to mind in my head, as I had played Pokemon before hopping onto the computer. You know, beat the elite four, about to enter the champion's domain. So I ended up listening to this song all day:
Mainly the 8-bit original version. It's helped calm me down and helped me think up things to draw and write. Basically it helps me feel a bit more creative. Odd, considering it's the song at the creepiest part of the game.
I don't have anything else to say for today. I hope you had a good day!

Hi guys!
Today was full of interesting surprises.

In first period, we had our Ash Wednesday mass. The homily was basically talking to us about how we were made of dirt and the breath of God and how ashes symbolised getting cleansed. Then we got the ashes and were allowed to leave after. After that, my group presented our French project. Our French project was that we had to write about a day in the life of a character. My group chose Tarzan. A friend of mine was Tarzan, I was Jane, and the perfect kid, as I like to call her, was all of the other characters. I had to help create the video on Saturday, so I didn't get to see the actual product until today. (They were going to show me yesterday [Tuesday], but the computer was lagging.) I was surprised that they used what sounded like a Skrillex song for one of the scenes. The teacher said that she loved our presentation and that it was excellent.
In second period, we talked about the last short story we read for this unit, and the review for our test. We then got a gingerbread character for use in one of our assignments. We could choose any character from any story we read to analyze, except for the first story we read, which was called "Mrs. Bixby and the Colonel's Coat." I chose to analyze the story with the sniper in it. NO, NOT FOR ANY PARTICULAR REASON. NOPE.
Third period was as usual.
Fourth period was art class, but we got to skip art class because of an assembly in the gym. It was a MADD presentation, where they showed us a short film that was filmed in our school's area about some guy who was drunk and smoking dope who decided to drive. After that, they had memorials about three people who died because of drunk driving. The first story, two sons got hit by cars by people who were drunk driving. The second and third stories were about people who got into cars with drunk drivers. The last story had a VERY hysterical mother, she was beside herself crying. The scary part about that story was that the girl who died had a birthday that was very close to mine. The difference is she was born 7 years before me. But that was really creepy.
After that, we went home. And we had pancakes for dinner. ;)

Also, guess what I'm listening to right now? I'll give you a hint. First part of the day.
